Located along the subterranean retail level of the historic Hotel Vancouver, the fourteen hundred square foot Sitka Physio & Wellness is unexpectedly, delicately luminous. It defies its underground setting, engaging the users with textured light that has a tangible presence throughout the space. The client’s program includes reception, yoga and pilates studio, four treatment rooms, staff workstations, staff kitchen, storage, and light.

Located within an existing medical building, Shinzen Centre is a 580 square foot health clinic that includes a waiting area, reception, four treatment rooms, washroom, and laundry, all organized around a light shelf/ wall. Sliding translucent panels abutt the wall, and with clerestory above, these allow natural light across the ceiling to the waiting area.
